In the 80's I remember having a mini plastic toyset.  It was a mini doll/plastic figure and you could change her clothes (which were also plastic & would snap on her) and the playset had a shower you could pump and water would come out.

It was something like that but it wasn't that.  The mini doll figure had a tiny hole on her body so you could snap the clothes on her and her clothes weren't molded to fit her body they were flat (if you can picture what I mean).

After doing some research I've found a pic of one of the mini doll figures and it looks to be a koeda chan doll/figure.  Were these available in the US & Canada and if so under the same name?

Yup I'm pretty sure they were called the same name in the US (not 100% about Canada). Other names for them are Lucy Village and Treena.

Pin Y Pon is a similar toy so if you can't find exactly what you are looking for it could be from this line.

It's a poppet they looked very similar to pin y pon but were british.

I had lots of them I even had the water playset with the shower you mentioned my favourite was a little beetle car that transformed into a sweetshop and a bus that transformed into a restaurant Unfortunatly I gave them away (I really wish I'd kept the car :( )

I've looked online for info about them many times but I can't find any information on them.

Oh I also had a purse that folded out into a house. I will try and find an old photo

This Pin y pon set is quite similar to the poppets water set I had but the poppets one had a shower and no ferris wheel

Thanks for the info.  I would love to see a pic of the water/shower playset if anyone can find one just to make sure it's the right playset I'm looking for.  I'm pretty sure the "pump" for the shower was blue.  I still can't find a pic of the exact set I'm looking for.  Thanks!

Yeah it was blue on mine too but like I say I've never found anything online about them
I think they were quite obscure even back then. I also remembered somthing else about the dolls they had "buns" on the side of there heads (princess leia style) with little red beads round them.

Yup that's it!!!  I remember that too about her hair.  You say they are called Poppets?

Here is a pic I found of a Koeda Chan doll-figure.  The one in the playset that I'm looking for looks like this (if I remember correctly)....http://www.flickr.com/photos/sirimae/4288217216/

I found a pic of the set I'm looking for only this one is from someone's collection and not for sale.  I guess the UK ones are called Poppets, Europe ones are called Lucie Village?, Japan ones are Koeda Chan & US ones are Treena Treetop.

Here is someone else's pic of the set I'm looking for.  I guess it's a laundry playset and not a shower.  All I rememebred about it was that water came out of it so I thought it was a shower.
