Title: Glamour Gals
Post by: Ghost Of The Doll on Friday 12 March 2010, 06:21 pm
Amy emailed me with this doll description:

"I have been searching for a group of dolls I had sometime between 1980-1984(?). They were about 4-6 inches tall. They were thin, almost like miniature Barbie dolls. They were rubbery, and I think the legs were bendable. They each came with flat, clear stands (about the size of a quarter, maybe a little bigger) with two prongs - each doll had a hole in the bottom of each foot to secure it to the stand. The women had very long, wavy hair. Their clothes were removable, but not the shoes. (You could pop the heads off and switch them to "change" their shoes.) They had different sets, like a beach scene set, a fashion show set, etc.
I don't ever remember seeing anyone else with the same dolls, but I had a bunch of them, so I know there were at least several different sets out there. I grew up in central Texas, USA, if that helps at all. Any advice you could provide would be greatly appreciated!! I'd love to see if I could find one online somewhere, or at least know what they were called."

UPDATE!!!
Hannah emailed to identify these dolls as Glamour Gals, which were produced by Kenner.
