Title: Anyone interested in buying Quints? SOLD!
Post by: Snork_Maiden on Wednesday 02 January 2013, 08:40 am
I recently came across a large box of Quints stuff: dolls, accessories, playsets, even an original box. As there are more than a hundred items in total, I thought I'd better check first whether anyone is interested in Quints. Does anyone here collect Quints and would like to know what's in the box?

Edit: The whole lot has been sold! Thanks for your interest.

Hello! *waves*

I'm a Quints collector, I'd be interested for sure!

I think that over the weekend, I'll simply make a list of everything that's inside the box and post it here. Then you can let me know what you're interested in, and we can see about pictures and such.

Here we are!

I’ve identified the items using “Ghost of the Doll”, and I’m fairly confident I’ve got it right. All the same, please bear in mind that I’m not a Quints collector.

Ideally, I’d like to sell many items to the same person because it makes payment and shipping so much easier. I’d rather not break up the play sets because I believe they’re difficult to find complete. That said, if you need a few of the items urgently, let me know, and we’ll see what I can do.

I’m running a price check on “Ghost of the Doll” to determine prices. In the meantime, just make me an offer, and we’ll talk about it.

I’m UK-based and happy to ship world-wide. From within the UK, I prefer bank transfer payments, international buyers use PayPal.

Overall state: The white plastic pieces have yellowed slightly, and the stickers are faded. Some parts (the swings in particular) could do with a bit of soap and water, but I didn’t want to wash them for fear of damaging the stickers. Overall, though, everything’s in a very good state. I assume that a cautious mother kept all the little items together, and the result is impressive. I was planning to keep it myself, but then I realised it would be in much better hands with a collector who’ll appreciate it.

1)   Ride-along park:

-   Box
-   play mat
-   assembly instruction leaflet
-   gazebo with swings: two flags snapped off (one of which is inside the box, so you could glue it back on); the rest is complete
-   train and cars
-   five boats
-   five ducks
-   five popsicles and popsicle stand
-   one pitcher with five cups and lemonade stand
-   five rabbits
-   five signs

According to the instruction leaflet, this means that the set is complete.

2)   So Soft Newborn Quints:

-   Five dolls: The girls have their hair bows, and all babies have got their nappies.
-   Five-doll blanket

3)   Quints cousins:

-   Three dolls (blonde) with dresses and hair bows; purple and pink have got both shoes, turquoise is missing one
-   Clothes hanger for three
-   Stand for three

4)   Bath time for 5:

-   Bath tub for five
-   Five ducks
-   Bath mat for five
-   Five towels
-   Mirrors for five

Unless there are other items not shown in the pictures I’ve seen, the set is complete.

5)   Misc. Items:

Three plastic hair bows (the kind that the girls wear): pink, yellow and purple

6)   Leaflets:

-   Babysitting guide
-   A year of fun for 5

It's rather impressive that all the small items are there!

Unfortunately I don't need any of the playsets, I'd be interested in the leaflets, however! Feel free to PM me if you decide to sell these separately!
