Then there was the later ones (rereleased?) - You can see that Flower one in the pictures. That was 2002 (Before Jakks Pacific?)

Seems they combined the Starcastle line with the Sky Dancers (you can read the name tag for some of them).

So, yeah. That would explain why these toys are such a hassle to identify. It seems that they keep putting them out but the bases probably still have the 1995 or 1998 date on the bottom. :(

I dunno. Maybe email that eBay seller who says they collected starting 1999. Maybe they know? Little groups of collectors groups come and go so maybe there was one back in the day?

Don't cry. One day we'll know? ::)

It seems Jakks Pacific bought out Trendmasters. Could the Disney Princess ones be the result of them selling off the Starcastles assets. Disney store stuff never has a maker name on the package so I assume they manufacture their own stuff.

I would think catalogs and pamphlets might help.

You're probably right. According to Trademarkia the Starcastles brand was allowed to expire a few years ago.

Found this page about some of the later ones:

I have found yesterday these both ones. Under the castles it is written : 1995 - Trendmasters Inc. - Made in China.  ;)

The pink has not the yellow birds you can see in the other castle.

This is the one I have! It was jewelry-themed, so I suppose it must be the Treasure Castle--although I don't remember any "guardian elephant" or a tea set.
Wish List!
-Any Merwees (CAP Toys)
-Lady Lovely Locks Seek & Peek board game
-Used/nude Fashionista Ken

I have found other castles... Now, I have six and two towers.  All are missing parts, figures or accessories.  :(

Maybe I won't keep them...  ??? So if you need a special photo of a castle, please ask soon !  ;)
