Polly Pocket Typle Dolls (only larger) [Oct 2009]
« on: Sunday 07 March 2010, 07:08 pm »
Beth sent me this doll and playset description:

"Hi, I am trying hard to find these toys from when I was little (early 90's). They were Polly Pocket type dolls/sets but they were bigger, and I want to say it was like a mall set inside what I can only describe as a Caboodles type case. Maybe the mall was just one of the scenic but I remember dressing up a plastic doll in clothes that came inside the case, and for some reason I remember a mall setting. I know for a fact they were not Polly Pocket because I had PP and these were different and bigger (they didn't have big PP then). Thanks!!!"

Sounds like it could be from a line by Fisher-Price called "Sweet Streets".

If that doesn't look familiar maybe you could just search on eBay for "Sweet Streets".

Good luck!

I think what is being described is actually from a toy line called Caboodles.  They were Caboodles that opened up and had playsets  inside.

I had some growing up, and have managed to locate a MIB set recently.  I will take some pics and load them later.

I had that caboodles mall. Didn't it come with a blonde doll with a blue and white striped  horzontally painted on "shirt"? The plastic was so cheap mine fell to pieces with boys around, but it was really kewl; I'd love to see it again.

Is this the doll you are talking about?

If so, you are confirming for me that she came with the mall!  I suspected as much, because I got her in an ebay lot with the mall a long time ago, but it's nice to have a direct source :P

I've loaded some pics of my caboodles to help with a page on them.  If you'd like to browse through them ahead of time, here is the link:
