Do you need ones with body paint mostly free of marks or are you doing full body repaints?

I have some super baity ones, cancer, tons of marks and bad hair. But, they also have magic marker on one side of each of them. (Really bad ebay lot)

I was planing on doing full body overhauls, so I don't care how bad they are. I have never tried anything like painting ponies before, and I though I would start from scratch. I've read up a lot on it, and I've done a lot a lot a lot of sculpture, and other art/crafts before, so I know I can figure it out. I just didn't want to start on something I payed a lot for is all And it's always good to put them to further use. How many do you have and what kind of price points are you thinking?
