Thats really neat! I remember those. Haven't found any for myself though. Great find! I did locate a container meant for children's toys that glows in the dark and looks very vintage. :)I think its called "glow n stow" or something.

It's like a caboodles case. I wish caboodles weren't so expensive to ship or I'd get another one to put other little stuffs in. I have a large one that was my older sisters and then somehow my younger sister got it (why - I had coveted it since forever!) but I have it now  ;D It's a reeeeaaalllly 80's one. Teal, purple and hot pink. I think it's awesome. I love the sort of faux love heart handle and slip of this one.

Oooh, thanks mouse--I was thinking I had cases like this when I was younger, and after Googling I'm sure they were Caboodles! I remember the teals and purples really vividly, I kept all my little hairclips and scrunchies and plastic jewelry in them. If you have it handy, would you mind posting a picture of yours? I'd love to see it!

Of course I don't mind  ;) Turns out mines not actually 'caboodles' either. Made by someone called 'Sassaby'. Please excuse the dust in it. The lid of the smaller section opens up to reveal a mirror and a little segmented tray that can lift out and has another storage bit underneath.

They look awesome and are functional too - seriosuly what more could you want  :P If I could get them in Australia I'd have more. I think I need one for hair accessories. And they'd be good for jewellery too. And storing craft stuffs. And little toys and accessories. The possibilities are endless!

I could use one of those I have so many tiny accessories from my action figures and have no place to put them.

Woo Hoo! I jsut found a large Hot Pink real Caboodles case. It was filthy! I has to remove old stickers and tape and use Goo-Gone on the whole thing. But now it looks great and I am using it for my craft stuff!

I just found one at a yard sale--it was small and missing the inner tray, but it was exactly like one I had as a child. I'm using it for my jewelry.
