I've nearly finished putting together some pages for Hornby's Flower Fairies, and just wondered if anyone had any brochures or other sales material they could scan for me to use?

There were lots of dolls produced and would love to add in a picture of all of them. Many of the later dolls are quite rare (or possibly never sold widely) and the two sites I was using last year for reference have now disappeared into the internet ether so can't contact them for help now.

Any help with catalogue type images or help organising the dolls would be most appreciated!

So far I know there were seven original dolls produced:

  • Almond Blossom
  • Christmas Tree
  • Guelder Rose
  • Heliotrope
  • Narcissus
  • Pink
  • Sweet Pea

In a catalogue image, along with the original seven, there were ten more fairies:

  • Apple Blossom
  • Bindweed
  • Celandine
  • Daisy
  • Elderflower
  • Forget-Me-Not
  • Plum
  • Queen of the Meadow
  • Red Clover
  • Snowdrop

_______________

There were three Deluxe Fairies relased at first:

  • English Rose
  • Fumitory
  • Hazelnut

These four had their cotumes released seperatly as Deluxe Costumes, but were the fairies also released as Deluxe Fairies, or even released as dolls at all? I know Poppy was as I've found a boxed image of her, but what about the other three?

  • Fuchsia
  • Poppy
  • Rosebay Willowherb
  • Stork's Bill

I then found mention of two more Deluxe Fairies, but assume there were more (who were they?):

  • Marigold
  • Tulip

________________

There were five Flower Fairy Twins sets (fairy & pixie), three of the fairies had been previously released on their own, so there were only two new fairy dolls to add the series.

  • Purple Clover
  • Self Heal

________________

There were twelve Magic Flower Fairies, all of which had been sold before without glow-in-the-dark accessories (as these had). I only know of six, who were the other six?

  • Christmas Tree
  • Daisy
  • Orchid
  • Plum
  • Red Clover
  • Snowdrop

________________

I know of at least eight more dolls which were produced, but I'm not sure where they fit in!

  • Beechnut
  • Blackthorn
  • Buttercup
  • Laburnum
  • Lavender
  • Orchid
  • Wild Cherry Blossom
  • Wilde Rose

_______________

There was one mail order fairy.

  • Good Fairy

_______________

There were three Magical Mist Fairies produced (possible sold in both blond and brunette). I have found a catalogue image naming one as "Morning Mist", what were the others called?

_______________

There were at least three fairies which came with small playset accessories:

  • Fairy Princess
  • Freesia The Wishing Fairy
  • Garden Ballet

There were at least two fairies which came with small accessories. They may also have been sold without the accessories too.

  • Mayflower "With extra long brushable hair!"
  • Tulip "With the help of a Ladybird this fairy can fly!"

_______________

The Pixies, playsets and costumes I have been able to sort out but as you can see from the list above I really need some help organising the fairies themselves! I shall be putting the pages online in a short while as it will be easier for you to see where I need help with images and information.

As always, thanks for any help you can give in creating this section!  Grin

I'm going to have to dig it out of it's hiding place first, I have so much old stuff it's hidden everywhere! Although, I do think I remember three mushrooms, too, I always wanted one...
