On Saturday I bought a small selection of toys (Trolls, Moshi Monsters, Twistheads, Bobballs) followed on Monday by various books, CD’s and DVD’s. And also paper weights.
My post-work charity shop rummage came up trumps again, with Doctor Who, Indiana Jones, several CD’s and a Teletubbie!
A mooch around Rayleigh’s charity shops on Tuesday morning filled my pockets! I found a weird furry hat with teeth, Teletubbies, Mr Men, Digimon, Baby Bop, Barbie, Larry the Lamb, Meg & Mog, and Frasier!
Last week’s meagre charity shop finds included two DVD’s (Stand By Me and Men Behaving Badly) and two CD’s (Echobelly & Revolver).
This weeks after-work charity shop finds included four DVD’s (The Hitchhicker’s Guide To The Galaxy, The Big Lebowski, From Hell and Judge Dredd) one CD (The 80s Movie Album: The Brat Pack Years), and one book (Tales of Mrs Hedgehog).
This weeks after-work charity shop finds included a small Boglin, a plush SuperTed keyring, Drop Dead Fred on DVD and Bros “Push” LP (listening to now).
A step out through Leigh on Saturday afternoon brought forth Hoobs aplenty, plush My Little Ponies, a kittenless Kitty Surprise, a friend of YooHoo, and more Clangers. Plus Austin Powers, Indiana Jones, George Formby, Frankie Howerd and ilk, and Pinky & Perky. I also bought an adapter and two loose plugs. Yeah, baby!
An impromptu visit to the dentists last week lead to various charity shop finds. I found a Barbie “Rainbow Lights Mermaid”, three LP’s, a bottomless money bank doll, “Where The Wild Things Are”, “Pan’s Labyrinth”, and a holographic millennium party CD.
I found an excellent mixture of items in Westcliff’s various charity shops on Saturday, including three LP’s, two annuals (Jackie & Magpie), a little Bagpus, a Lalaloopsy doll, a plush Moshi Monster, and my best find of the day, a Dolly Surprise doll from 1987!
I’ve had quite a dry run of late where charity shops are concerned, so was determined to buy something a few weekends back no matter what! I came up trumps with five LP’s and an (empty) WHSmiths anti static turntable mat sleeve.
This years first charity shop finds had a bit of an unintended theme. DISCO!
I came back with an unexpected pile of eighties goodies last Saturday, mostly all from the Salvation Army charity shop in Leigh On Sea. I found three Look In magazines from 1983, three TV annuals (Super Gran, Gordon T Gopher, and Fraggle Rock), a pack of Mr Men Snap cards, and a Bros 12″ single (I Owe You Nothing).
After visiting the folks last weekend I came back laden with charity shop goodies (as per usual)! My favourite find was the John Inman With A Bit Of Brass LP, bought mainly for the cover. I also found four annuals and two story books. And a rather magnificent brown tie from the seventies…
I took a few items down the road to a local charity shop last weekend (some books and a green bow-tie) and came back with more than I dropped off! I found a Fisher Price plane, Waynes World 1 & 2, My Little Pony pot & Equestria Girls doll, plus a couple of CD’s.
I came back with a good selection of charity shop purchases a couple of weeks back (plus a couple of new). The haul included disco and indie music, Hello Kitty, My Little Pony, Grimm’s Fairy Tales, Strawberry Shortcake, pirates and glitter!
My most recent charity shop/second-hand purchases include Mr Men, Worzel Gummidge, Culture Club and an Elvis Chatimals. Sounds like the makings of a good night out!
A trip down the road to the woodyard, then into the charity shop on the way back got me 9m of wood and these! A new Geoff Love LP, three 78’s, two knitting books with “interesting” fashion, and a Beatrix Potter book.
I came back with an excellent hoard of goodies from my local charity shop a short while back for about £3.20, including records, books and dolls.
I picked up sixty 78rpm 10″ records on my way home from work a few weeks back. An absolute bargain! They are all singles, and in OK condition with very few either jumpy or broken. Most are from 1950’s, a few from the 30’s/40’s and one is from 1912 or there abouts.
A visit to the charity shops in Oldfield Park, Bath was as fruitful as usual. Finds include Star Wars, Barron Knight, Henry’s Cat, Sonic The Hedgehog, Playhour Annual 1977, and pop up Shakin’ Stevens!
I found this fantastic picture disc and Muppet Show annual at a records and book fair in town on Saturday for 50p and £1.00.
A good haul from Bath and Wells charity shops this weekend whilst visiting the folks!
I was really pleased to find these two Roald Dahl LP a short while ago, which are actually read by the author himself. There were at least four in this series (1975-1980), three read by Dahl and one by his wife Particia Neal. They have heavy cardboard covers and seem to be fairly hard to find in the UK.
I bought several LP’s whilst visiting the folks a couple of weeks back. There was a whole hoard of soft rock cover albums, and several copies of Felicity Kendal to choose from. I also found a few singles, including a gate-fold.
So, after a particularly long dry spell of not finding anything of much note in the way of charity shop music, I finally came home with this hoard on Wednesday! A pre-dentist jaunt around Rayleigh’s charity shops proved most fruitful. I don’t usually look through the 7″ piles, but am very glad I did after finding a large selection of 1960’s children’s records and a couple of 1980’s picture discs. I got everything below for the princely sum of £8.50. Bargain!
