We popped down to the Hadleigh Rare Breed Centre last bank holiday weekend as it was a lovely morning and thought we’d get there before it got too busy.
It was time for another visit to Hadleigh Rare Breed Centre this weekend so I could see all the birds, which were hidden indoors on our last visit in April. I went back twice to photograph the ducks, I just love them!
It had been abut ten years since I last did the touristy thing in Bath, so visited the Roman Baths, Museum of Fashion and the Victoria Gallery on a special ticket thingy.
Mum and I visited the historic market town of Corsham back in March. It was a lovely day so we took a few photos of St Bartholomew’s church with its graveyard full of primroses (and a very friendly cat).
Slim pickings at Hadleigh Rare Breed Centre this weekend due to all the birds being kept indoors until next month, and most of the animals were asleep!
There was a lovely low sun when I visited the American Museum on Sunday, so as well as some inside, I took a few photos of the view from Claverton Manor before leaving.
A few photos of Bishop’s Palace and Wells Cathedral.
Here’s a few photos I took whilst visiting Dorchester last month, which was a wonderful sunny day.
On a recent trip back to Bath to see the folks, I decided to take a look around the little cemetery at the end of the road. It was used as a bit of a spooky playground as a child and a cut-through for my paper-round as a teenager, so has always been one of the fixtures of my childhood and not a place I’ve really taken the time to look over. It turns out the two chapels within are more interesting than I thought, but the sun (and time) was not on my side so I only took a few close-up photos. Next time I go back to Bath I’ll try to get some more.
I visited Arnos Vale Cemetery (a vast place) last March and thought it was about time I sorted out the photos I took and publish them. It had been about seventeen years since I last visited, at which point it was in a bad way with some parts so overgrown as to be completely impenetrable. It is now a wonderful place to visit and wander around without fear of falling into an open grave!
The Hadleigh Rare Breed Centre is now open again and I managed to get a few photos whilst the sun was briefly out this morning!
Whilst visiting family near Nottingham recently, we all popped over to Leicester for the day to look around the Richard III exhibition. We also took a look around Leicester Cathedral & Guildhall. This was shortly before Richard III remains were buried in the cathedral.
Photographs taken in Venice, Italy on Tuesday 11th September 2012.
Photographs taken in Padua, Italy on Monday 10th September 2012.
Photographs taken on a day trip out on Sunday 9th September 2012. Starting with Villa Pisani, then boarding a boat at Dolo for a trip along the Riviera del Brenta, visiting Villa Widmann and Villa Foscari (aka “La Malcontenta”) along the way.
Photographs taken in Abano Terme, Italy on Friday 7th September 2012.
Photographs of the windmill in Rayleigh, which we looked around when I took the folks over for a visit at the weekend. It was quite an overcast day, so thought the photos looked better in black and white.
Here are some more photo of Hadleigh Rare Breed Centre. I love the peeping duck.
A weekend visit to Hadleigh Rare Breed Centre to see the goats, sheep, pigs and more!
