Princess of the Flowers :: Sparkling Jewels

"Every Princess of the Flowers lives in a timeless place where wishes and dreams come true! It's an enchanted garden where each magical flower holds a secret surprise inside."

Princes of the Flowers were produced by Yes! from 1992-95, and Europe by Ideal. Each plastic flower opened up with special key to reveal a 3" poseable doll and small playset within. There was also a smaller series of baskets and at least two large playsets produced. Some sets were also produced for sale in various European countries in collaboration with Lollipop and Ideal.

I currently know of one name variation:
  • US: Princess of the Flowers
  • Euro: Secret Princess

Sparkling Jewels

"With a turn of her special key the flower magically blossoms to reveal a beautiful princess and dazzling jewellery for you wear."

There were six playsets, with flowers made from two different flower moulds. Some flowers were a single colour and some two-tone, and each petal had a sparkly jewels on the outside. There were two subtle crown and key variations of these sets, noted where found.

Princess Chelsea

Princess Chelsea came with a necklace, pink key and crown. I have found three variations of crowns, keys and ribbons for this set. I don't know if the flower differed inside too as I've only found one loose image so far.

I've found three variations of the crown, key and ribbon. The left crown has a transparent glittery flower on top, the middle a rings and the third as solid pink ring. The transparent glittery key on the left is the party hat and the solid key is feathers and stars.

Princess Gemma

Princess Gemma came with a butterfly pin, green key and green crown.

I've found two variations of the crown, one is a ring the other a butterfly (both transparent glittery green). The key shown below is transparent glittery green candy.

Princess Julia

Princess Julia came with a bracelet, purple key and crown.

I've found two variations of the crown, one is a ring and the other a butterfly (both transparent glittery purple).

The key shown below is transparent glittery purple horseshoe and flowers.

Princess Laryssa

Princess Laryssa came with a necklace. This set was pictured on the back of the packaging, but have not come across it packaged or loose. However, I have come across what appears to be a complete colour variation, with plain or sparkly blue key. Perhaps this set was never actually released in yellow?

Princess Madeline

Princess Madeline came with a butterfly pin, blue key and crown. I've not come across any crown and key variations yet.

Princess Marie

Princess Marie came with a bracelet, purple key and crown. I've not come across any crown and key variations yet.
