Immeruth emailed me this Jammie Pies type doll image and description:
"I need to identify a sweet little doll I found last summer at a yard sale. Possibly this unknown doll is from the 80's, but the sale had a huge pile of stuffies and dolls, so I really can't say it is from the 80's.
She is about 11 inches tall (to the ear tips), her face is soft vinyl, but her head and the rest of her is stuffed. Her clothes are cotton or cotton blend. I'm assuming that her tag was on the left side because there's semi-sloppy re-sewing there as if someone had ripped the tag off!!"

Farore added:
"I can say for sure that this doll was not from the 80s, as my little sister had one for years and years and she was not born until '92, didn't get the doll until '93 or '94 most likely. I don't think it was part of any set, either - I believe it was just one of those random middling-quality department store no-name-brand toys. I could be wrong about that last part though."

All I could find was a toy wearing an outfit made of the same fabric (reading "candy bear"):
