Title: Ice cream mini dolls
Post by: Dawns on Thursday 09 December 2010, 04:53 am
I am searching for the name of a toy I had between 79-85.  I don't have a picture.  It was a small plastic figurine, about 2 inches tall of little people with ice cream cones on top of their heads.  I remember one with a fudgesicle and one with an ice cream.  I think the fudgesicle was a boy.  There may have been 4 dolls total.  They also may have come with ice-cream cone necklaces, but I may be imagining that part.  I bought mine at Service Merchandise.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

is it something like the Yummi-Land Ice Cream Pop Girls?

Just older version?

Or maybe Barbie Peekaboo Petites Ice Cream Cuties

But I can't find a boy with a Fudgesicle though, still looking :)

Thanks for the suggestions.  It's not either though.  I'm pretty sure that the whole toy was one piece, rather than having separated legs and arms.  The head was a normal size, any hair would be plastic too.

Finally!  I have found a picture of one of the dolls.  Please click here to see... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370485002917#ht_500wt_922
It is the boy doll on the upper left with the cupcake on it's head.  The ones I had had ice cream on their heads, but I am confident this is the same line of dolls!  Anyone know the names of these after seeing the picture?

Thanks!

Has anyone asked the seller about markings for the non-SSC figures yet?

You're good! I thought she looked familiar. It's from Avon's Little Blossoms (Scamper Lily)

I wonder if there is any chance that the ice cream ones are Avon as well?

Wow, very good!  I bought my ice cream (cupcake) ones at service merchandise, so I doubt they are Avon too.

Still searching for the name on these.  Any new ideas out there?  The link to the post I put doesn't show up anymore.
