I am trying to identify my baby doll from when I was a child. I am no longer able to read the manufacturer's label.
She was a blue terry cloth plush baby doll and I think she also came in pink. She had a few wisps of yellow yarn hair peeking out from her bonnet. I was born in 1982 and received her not long after; when she was eaten by a dog, my parents were easily able to get a new one a few years later. One version had a bib with the same tiny blue roses that were on the bonnet ruffle, the other version did not have a bib.

I have seen this doll before, as i was born in 83 I think I might have had one to, lol. I am looking to see if I can find a picture of it

Here's the one we had that I just saw in a family album. Can't make out the label, though.

The blurry tag in my photo reminds me a bit of the Amtoy tag (with the red and blue ink). I'll investigate that a bit.

zuse, to me yours looks like this doll here on ebay:

I saw that, but it's not it. I have another photo of this doll and it definitely has a distinctive shape with its legs. And it's not made of teddy bear material. I'll see what the OP has to say.

Hi all,
The Amtoy one is close, but like Zuse said, not quite right. This doll was pretty firm and the fabric wasn't plush; it was definitely some sort of terry cloth. As for what Zuse was saying about the shape, it's very true - this baby doll had curved legs, almost like a wishbone shape, and a very big butt!
Guess I'll hope someone who knows comes across the thread! :)

From your your description and looking at the photo of the doll I believe your doll is a Fisher Price Smooshee Cuddlers "Baby Bonnie & Her Stroller". Hope this helps. :)

That is way too small. Smooshees fit in the palm of your hand!

I am looking all over to identify this doll also. My mom said that this doll was bought for me at Kmart and the doll is called My First Doll but does not know the manufacturer.

Maybe it's Baby Soft Touch?

Wow, definetly seems like the right shape. :)
-
This is definitely the doll. I just wish I knew where to buy it.

I guess this is the earlier version (we discussed it before). The baby is made of plush instead of terry. But look at the bibs where "Baby" is written. It's the same. So both are AmToy dolls (you can almost see it in the box picture posted above).

I have a doll and can post a pic of her soon and she is made by the company eden. She is pink and her body is made of terry cloth, has a large butt and her eyes are blue and has yellow yarn for hair. Her hands and feet look almost as if they are little balls on the end of her arms and legs. Does this help at all?

DId anyone ever find out where this doll was made or found a seller of this doll?? I have been searching for this doll for ages ever since a few of my bags were stolen when I moved.
-
I think this is another earlier version? (The face doesn't seem right to me?)

I think this was one for sale, http://www.ebay.com/itm/110926601664 (blue terry).
They called it First Doll Lovey.

I think that this is the one I had.
