Maybe they were tourist dolls.  Most that I have seen don't have a marker mark but they do say Made In Hong Kong or Taiwan.

I know in France these dolls were used as decoration at the back of cars...  ;) It seems that same dolls but bigger have existed for trucks...  :o

Quote from:  "Maxxx from Eighties.fr"
As I know, it is dolls which were sold under plastic bag in hypermarkets and " bazards " at the beginning of the 70s (between 72 and 75 in priori). They have regrettably no naming, we sometimes give them the nickname of TIKA dolls or still dolls "automobile", because their first purpose was to be put on the quarterdeck(back shelf) of cars. There are the same cuts it much bigger, it is then about dolls of truck !

Another one. This one has a pose similar to the one on the right in the first picture:

All these ones I've been finding are only marked "Hong Kong", according to their descriptions. I will continue to look and see if there is a specific line, but I think the whole no-name Hawaiian doll theory is probably accurate.

Another pics of these dolls from flickr.  They have no idea what they are either but there are quite a few different ones.
