Questions about rerooting hair
« on: Monday 05 September 2011, 07:32 am »
Alright so I have come across a few dolls and mlp from when I was little that are missing hair.  I am thinking about rerooting but know absolutely nothing about it and did not really know people did it until fairly recently.  I found this website which seems to explain the process and am wondering what people think.  Is this a good site to follow with regards to how to?

 http://fugsly.wordpress.com/2009/04/10/how-to-re-root-my-little-pony/

Is the head removal link a good 1 to follow as well?
Why would you add clay to the mlp head?
Also I think I am still a little confused- I just have no idea!!  Would I do an mlp tail in the same way? Oh and where do you get the hair? Especially if you are looking to get an exact match of the original?

Sorry for all the questions- this is going to definitely be an experiment for me so any help would be great!  Thanks everyone!!

Hi!

Haven't got time to go into depth here - but you might try the MLP arena? There are LOADS of people on there who do customisation and restoration - and they could help you out with where to get the hair etc too. I know some are members here, but not sure how often they log on :)

xx
