Hi I was wondering if anyone could help me identify some toys I had as a child. I was born in 91 so these would have been mid ninties probably.

First was a doll in a little pink case. The case was square and not too big. It had "Take along babies" written on the side in purple (i think) and it Velcro-ed shut. It had a clear plastic strap attached so you could take it with you. The case opened to look like a kitchen inside. It came with a high chair and a rug and a few other little accersories and a baby. the baby doll was about maybe 5 or six inches long and had black painted hair with a sprig of "real" hair coming out in a ponytail. She had a pink dress. She was also battery operated to do something but I can't remember exactly what..it seems like her legs moved. Any ideas, pictures? were there other dolls in this line?

Second I have less memory of exact details. This would have been older than the first doll though because I was much younger when I had it. It was a small doll house of some sort that came with one girl doll. She was all made together and didnt move with blonde painted hair. She was maybe 3 or 4 inches tall and it seems like she may have been sort of rubbery. The doll house was chunky and durable like for a younger child. It was pastel colored. I seem to recall mostly green, pink, purple, and white. It seems like it made noise of some sort...Any ideas what this is?

Thanks so much to anyone who can help!

there are pics here from an ended ebay auction.
The doll is a blonde version, but i think it's pretty much the same set you described.

With the dollhouse, have you eliminated any of the Fisher Price models, such as the 'Loving Family' or the 'Dream Dollhouse' collection? Their figures seem to be jointed, but the pastel colour-scheme is used extensively and some are a chunkier plastic too, especially the earlier ones. If your dollhouse is similar to these ones, but not Fisher Price, it may be a cheaper imitation brand perhaps (especially if the girl figure is rubbery maybe)?

What year did you have the dollhouse? Do you recall it having a handle so you could carry it around, like this:

I had an imitation one of these (not Hello Kitty) and the lights would turn on! Loved it...came with a little family who were sort of rubbery, but had joined limbs as well. Most of their heads broke off because of the cheap rubbery plastic used.

There is also this suggestion on this blog and this older dollhouse does make sounds: (scroll down a little more than half way down the page)

Dludnerad, Thank you! That's exactly what I was talking about. I wonder how many of them there were?

Skyhorse82, no it is not any of the larger dollhouses and it didn't seem cheaply made either. It was smaller than the loving family or dream dollhouse houses. More the size of the Hello kitty house but not similar to it really. And it wasn't battery operated sounds like the other house. It was more like squeaks and spins or that type of thing. It would have been from the early 90s and was definitley intended for a very young child. no small parts or anything. It was a small house (the roof either opened or was open so you could reach through to the inside) it was one story and i seem to recall it having a little outside part attached too.
