Identify a 1980s Ethnic Baby Doll
« on: Monday 11 July 2011, 01:34 am »
I have searched all over the internet and can not find the name of this doll. She was given to me for Christmas of '88 and was also seen on the tv show, The Cosby Show, titled "The Getaway" which aired February of  '92.
She is a light-skinned, African-American doll. She had a soft body with vinyl limbs. I would say she was around 20 inches in size (since I was two in the picture where I'm holding her) and she had sleep eyes that were a very light brown (almost golden). Her hair was actually rooted although it may look a little funny in the picture. Her mouth was slightly opened and she wore a white and light pink jumper outfit.
If anyone could help me identify this doll I would truly appreciate it. It has been 15+ years since I lost her. Just to be able to know what her actual name was may help me to put closure to a favorite childhood memory.

I did find the answer out to this. Her name is Nitey Nite Baby by Famosa. She was made in Spain.
Thank you!
