Jackpot!
« on: Wednesday 27 October 2010, 11:58 pm »
Updating my thread from last year with my boot sale finds from this year!

2010:

So, this summer I hit the boot sales pretty hard for a couple of months - for anyone not in the UK, a boot sale is kind of like a yard sale... but one where the whole street is invited to sell all their junk for pennies from their car at 6am every Sunday :D

Since the season has pretty much ended now, I thought I'd show what I found from May-October this year... but be warned, I collect just about everything.

Care Bears, My Little Ponies, Popples, Keypers, Fashion Star Fillies, Moondreamer

Wuzzle, Wuzzle Baby, Fluppy Dogs, Pound Puppy, Nosy Bear, Wrinkles, Get Along Gang, Puffalump

Cabbage Patch Kids, My Little Ponies

Now everything above was found randomly... a Care Bear here, a Fashion Star Filly there, a Nosy Bear in the grass, a CPK in a bag... but the following was one overall find from one stall:

Ponies?

Yes, Ponies!

But not just Ponies...

Pony everything!

And this isn't all that I picked up... there are the odd few doubles that I found, and honestly, there was a ton of stuff I turned down, too!

This was so worth getting up early every Sunday for, right?! :D

WOWZERS!~ I have dreamed of finding a big box like that. I bet you were so happy! I wish I could get out to garage sales more often. Seems like a lot of people know about eBay these days though. I remember about ten years ago I would come home with trunkloads of stuff like that but now everyone knows how to google!

I love your pictures thanks for sharing!

WOW A wuzzle baby and keypers yep slightly jealous!!!!

bootsales down here are really pointless now (cardiff, wales) its got to the stage where everything is either new and expensive or just damaged so bad nothing can save it.
Last good find I had was my butterbear for 50p but literally that was sully bootsale (biggest in wales) and that was it! not even a fake mlp in sight and over 500cars
i hope next season brings me some more luck xxx
WANTED:- Matchbox Carousel Horses, Tonka Keypers and Disney Wuzzles!

I was so sure when I started going this summer that I'd find lots of ponies, but they actually seem to be quite rare, there were literally hundreds of G3's, but hardly any of the original release... so when I found that box, I quite literally seized it :D
The girl I bought it from said she didn't think anyone would be interested in the ponies, there were 40 in there altogether, but over 50 combs and accessories for other ponies that were not in the box... I can only imagine she had another huge stash still at home.

The Wuzzle Baby was ultimately the best find, although the sellers had lots of other toys for very high prices, they didn't attach any importance to him.

Now I just have to find somewhere to put it all...

Oh wow, you found some amazing things!  And look it all those G1 ponies!  *dies*

Yard sales here very rarely have MLP anything... especially not G1s.  What I wouldn't give to stumble upon a box like that!

Yes! That's a crazy good deal! The best MLP find I've ever had was a handful of about ten for fifty cents each. Lucky you!
