« on: Wednesday 06 April 2011, 10:58 pm »
when i was around 9 or 10 i got these really cool small horses that were clear and in different colors. they were about 2 or 3 inches tall. they had the word crystal in the name. they were a whole set of maybe 12?? not sure. does anyone know what im talking about? ive never seen them again since then. this was 1990 i believe. id love to find them again or at least see a picture. any help is appreciated.

note:they werent my little pony petites. i had those too so thats not what they were.

Were they realistic-looking horses, other than being clear and colored?

Were they like these? They say made in china on their bellies, I won them at the roller skating rink as a kid. :D I'd trade in all my tickets for these, they were one of the cheaper prizes. Mine are about the same size as a pony in my pocket.

They came in various poses and colors :D my 'old' rearing lost a leg and ears fighting off the 'young' blue stallion on the far right they were really fragile so they probably have the most damage compared to some of my other childhood toys

that's really cool to know they came in other packaging. I only ever saw them in a clear plastic bin in the display case at the roller rink. :) Sorry I'm not much help for a name to them but I'm curious now! :D

After you mentioned that I remembered I have a similar set of clear plastic girls. I think my cousin won the set at an arcade and get them to me.

I, too, have only ever seen these as arcade prizes! I had a few of them myself. :) Do you remember any other details about the packaging--colors, anything?

I had a bunch of those horses and two of the girls.   Like several other people, mine had been arcade prizes (I got them at Chuck E. Cheese).   Sadly I only have one horse left (a blue grazer) and one girl (orange).

That is really neat that you could get the horses in a packaged set!

Are you thinking of Josef Originals? When you said that I realized that these plastic girls do look similar to them..
