I started collecting My Child dolls back in January, when I remembered them out of the blue. I had two as a child and still have them. I've restored my two as well as eight others I've bought.
Here they are:
Ash Blondes
That's Danielle and Joshua, my childhood dolls! Danielle is a Taiwan doll wearing the original blue seersucker suit and My Child T-bars. Joshua (86 pale) is wearing the original cream sweater set (minus the sweater; it's still in storage) and My Child Oxfords. Naturally, they are my favorites. Always will be.
Blondes
That's Roxy and Hayley. Both are 86 US Pale dolls. Roxy's my newest and wearing the original red sleeper minus the bear on the bib and the stuffed bear. Hayley's wearing the original yellow party dress and Cabbage Patch Kid T-bar shoes. Roxy's my favorite doll after my childhood dolls because I love topknots and her face is lovely (funny because blonde is my least favorite hair color for them).
Brunettes
That's Zachary and Leah, unofficial twins (same hair, eye, skintone, eye makeup, and lip makeup colors). Both are 86 US Pale dolls. Zachary is wearing the original brown vest set minus the actual vest and cap. He's wearing CPK shoes with child laces. Leah is wearing the original white ducky dress and unknown maker shoes.
That's Madeline and Gwen. Madeline is an 86 US Pale doll wearing a dress in the Aussie flared dress style (made by my mom); she's my only doll left that doesn't have shoes. Gwen is an 86 African American doll wearing the original white sailor dress and CPK Oxfords.
Redheads
That's Caroline and Ava. Caroline is an 86 or 87 US Pale doll wearing the original navy sailor dress and CPK Oxfords. Ava is a Taiwan doll wearing the original blue party dress and unknown maker shoes. These are my bargain babies. Caroline was on ebay BIN for $14.99. Her dress was BIN for $14.99 too (same seller). Ava was just pitiful looking and no one was bidding on her, so I got her for $19.99.
