Misc dolls etc
« on: Saturday 01 May 2010, 03:24 am »
I have been trying to identify many things in my collections for years. My family has always been big on garage sales and anything they think is cute they give to me. I have just started a flickr account with some unidentified and a couple that might identify some already posted. I hope to take more pics soon but here a few to get started.

This is the "Burd" character by American Greetings Corporation from about 1986. I imagine they also had cards, stationary, school supplies (pencil toppers), etc.

Hi! The brown dog you have that says 1985 Tonka Corp is actually a cat from the POUND PUPPIES pvc miniatures line based on the cartoon.

Thanks so much.
I have updated the info and added a few pics of my collection. I am still learning flickr so haven't figured out how to seperate the groups? sets? yet.
Will figure it out soon I'm sure and add some more pics of my collections identified or not.

I know this is off-topic but WOW thanks to this topic I now suddenly know that I had SSC Jelly Bear as a kid! I loved this little bear figure but I never had a clue it was from the SSC line! I think I got it from a flea market or something as I don't remember having anything SSC, and also because I'm from 1988. I always called the little bear 'Vanilla Bear' as it smelled like vanilla in my perception. (Is that correct?) I don't remeber it having the white painted belly though... Does it also exist with only the hair painted white and a non-painted belly? Argh I wish I still had it :(
Pretty cool to find out it was SSC! :D

The Dream Beauty fakies were made by Micro Games of America (now known as MGA Entertainment, the company that produced Bratz).
