various 80s toys ID?
« on: Tuesday 03 August 2010, 06:49 pm »
I have a playset by Peter Pan toys called Tooty Town with 3 plastic shop fronts. It is quite a large playset, complete with all bits but I can't find any reference to it online. It is from 1987 and you could buy smaller ad-on sets to go with it. The dolls look a little bit like CP dolls but are smaller and have soft faces aswell? Any clues?
Also came across a bluebird Mr. Chomney pot (already had my own but local charity shop gave me this one) It is boxed and shows mr.caw caw the bird as part of the soot family but the plastic manufacturers packet the figures came in states that the bird has been replaced by an extra cat figure. Does anyone know why and wether he was always shown on the box as the one I already had wasn't boxed.

The doll with the soft face could be a knockoff doll or a My Child doll.

Thank you so much for that! I'm very new to the site and had looked throught he ID's but didn't know how to describe them. Do you know if there is any other info around on them? I have an absoloutely complete set and haven't found anything online before now. It is a lovely set and complete with all the little shop jars with lids etc. They also have their own teaset, birthday cake and cat. I'll try and upload a pic and whatever info is on the box in the next day or two. Thank youX
