I found lots of super toys during August, some for me and lots for resale. So many in fact, that I couldn’t fit them all on the table to take a group shot! My favourite finds have to be the vintage plush Popples and Care Bears, and two Funko Pop: Fortnite figures.
Finally, I found some dolls! My Monster High craving as been sated for a short while. Other finds from July include Club Chic, DesignaFriend, Disney Princess, Flat Eric, Incredibles, Monster High, Monsters Inc, My Little Pony, My Melody, Paddington Bear, Shopkins, Simpsons, Skylanders, Snoopy, Star Wars, Strawberry Shortcake and Trolls.
Mostly books found over the last couple of weeks, with a smattering of soft toys and little figures. I found Gonga, Mickey Mouse, Zomlings, Crazy Bones, Beanie Babies, Furby, Ladybird Books and various fairy tail books.
July is already off to a flying start, even with just a smattering of charity shops able to re-open. My favourite find as a Fabuland book by Ladybird, and the oddest is probably the “Royal Knits” craft book!
The week before lockdown began I came across two bundles of dinosaur toys: Jurassic Park: The Lost World and Extreme Dinosaurs. Obviously I worked out the former, being as it was in the box, but had never come across the later before. I’m glad I bought both bundles as they were a real bargain! These were the last things I bought before the shops closed just a few days later.
I found quite a nice selection of action figures before the lockdown, including Master of The Universe, ThunderCats, Skylanders, various Marvel & DC Comics figures, and a few Star Wars figures.
I found a small selection of plush toys during March, including Minecraft, Pixels, Minnie Mouse, Odie from Garfield, The Dog, Spongebob Square Pants, Compare The Market: Meerkats Frozen Elsa, Secret Life of Pets and Pokemon.
Not much in the way of Fast Food toys in March, which was probably a good thing as I have a mountain the the things to resell!
I found a nice bundle of G4 My Little Pony, a collection on glittery Disney Princess figurines, a couple of packs of Top Trumps (LOL Surprise and Moshi Monsters), Zelfs, Zhu Zhu Pets, Littlest Pet Shop, a little Lalaloopsy and some Nom Noms.
I found an interesting mix of vintage and modern toys during March. Some I’m keeping, some I’ll be selling and some are presents. My best finds are the Sesame Street windup radio, the vintage Fisher Price Circus Animals and the Harry Potter fob watch.
I found a few dolls during March, all for reselling. They include Barbie, Bratz, Disney Princess, Robotech, Steffi Love and Strawberry Shortcake.
I had a good spot of luck in the last few days the charity shops were open before lockdown, and was presented with a freshly donated pile of well loved Ladybird and Janet and John books on stepping through the door of my local (the manager knows me too well)!
I found a small selection of vintage figures at the end month, including Barbie’s horse “Snowdance”, Powerpuff Girls, Sweet Secrets and a Wuzzles (keeping all but the horse).
I found a good selection of vintage action figures in mid-Feb, including A-Team, Bomberman, Dungeons & Dragons, a Galaxy Warriors shield, Masters Of The Universe, Monster Wrestlers In My Pocket, M.U.S.C.L.E., Star Wars and ThunderCats. I also found vintage Fisher Price, Playmobil figures, Matchbox cars, and Snoopy. Not forgetting Manta Force, Mighty Max, MASK, Butt-Ugly Martians and a couple of Marvel minis!
Figure finds and a few other things from the end of February, including and excellent Powerpuff Girls bag and the missing Thelma figure from my Scooby Doo set.
February was a good month for dolls! My favourite find (quite literally), was a naked Doctor Who “Sec Hybrid” doll in the bushes along my road! He had been there unclaimed for a couple of weeks, so decided to rescue him from the spiders and give him a new home (and clothes when I find something fitting).
These are all the Fast Food toys I bought during February (lots!), mostly for reselling in bundles. My favourite finds have to be Beaker from The Muppets and a full set of plush Wombles.
Last months plush finds include Barnie, Bat Man, Brave, Bunny Surprise, Care Bears, Chatimals, Donald Duck, Furby, Harry Potter, How To Train Your Dragon, Incredible Hulk, Kinder, Minecraft, Nintendogs, Skylanders, Smasha-Ballz, Tweenies, Wallace & Gromit and Winnie The Pooh!
I have to say, my favourite book buy of February has to be Jane Asher’s “Fancy Dress” (more photos below). I saw it in my FB newsfeed in a group called Charity Shop Shit, and was so taken went straight onto eBay and purchased a copy for £1. Best Buy Ever! I also rescued some 1980s Pins & Needles magazines from being recycled.
Fast Food toy finds include Adventure Time, Animal Jam, Barbie, Beanie Boos, Betty Spaghetty, The Dog, Home, Lego Movie, Minions, Pingu, Pokemon, Secret Life of Pets, Smurfs , Snoopy, Teeny TYs and YooHoo. The Euro Pingu ice cream head was a great find!
