It was half term last week, so the Mr and I went out and about a few places. Said places, also having charity shops, provided me with a few extra much needed items to fill my shelves with!
Amongst my finds were My Little Pony, Moshi Monsters, Furbys and a Fluppy Puppy! I also found a few books (Garfield and Beano), an Alice In Wonderland LP and a Marvel duvet cover.
My Little Pony
I found four G3 and four G4 ponies (G = Generation) over the course of the week. I’ve only been buying up G4 ponies this year, and these are the first G3 ponies I have come across in a charity shop.
G3 Ponies (l-r):
- Minty ~ came with “A Very Minty Christmas” DVD, 2007
- Rainbow Dash
- Sunny Daze
- Star Flower
After their wash and style.
The G4 ponies I found were (l-r):
- Pinkie Pie from the Water Cuties line, 2014
- Plush Twilight Sparkle
- Squishy Twilight Sparkle from the Fash’ems line, 2014
- Twilight Sparkle, came with Crystal Princess Palace Playset, 2013
Fluppy Dogs & Handpuppets
I was VERY excited to spot this lovely Fluppy Puppy hiding on a shelf! She is Nuzzle-Pup, sadly missing her bonnet. I also bought this cute hippo hand puppet, which looks just like my much loved childhood toy and current slippers!
Furby
I found two more plush and one hard plastic McDonald’s Happy Meal Furby’s. The orange one was still in its plastic packet, so included the leaflet.
Moshi Monsters
If I extent the straps I’ll be able to use this Moshi Monsters backpack. Plus, it was handy to put all the toys I had just purchased into!
Various Toys
I found a selection of little toys in various charity shops, including a light up Frankenstein, Littlest Pet Shop “Lady Bug”, a Smurf figure from 1977 (only 20p!), and a wooden cat head driving a car. I found a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles “Twistheads” by Kinder Surprise, another little Hatchimals, some funky Bratz boots, a pair of Monster High shoes and “Zebedee” from the Magic Roundabout pencil topper by McDonald’s Happy Meals.
Marvel Duvet Cover Set
This marvellous Marvel duvet cover and pillow case is designed to look like a scattered layer of comics. It will make an interesting skirt.
Alice In Wonderland LP [1965]
This double album is truly odd, but at least it was only 27’10 for the two LP’s!
With a star studded cast narrated by Dirk Bogarde, this musical version of Alice in Wonderland features a host of great British comedy talent including Kenneth Connor, Tommy Cooper, Harry H Corbett, Karen Dotrice, Fenella Fielding, Bruce Forsyth, Arthur Haynes, Frankie Howard, Peggy Mount, Beryl Reid, Dorothy Squires, Billy Walker & Ian Wallace.
Garfield Eats His Heart Out ~ His Sixth Book
I love Garfield, and at 10p how could I resist?!
Beano Annuals ~ 1971, 1974 & 1977
I also bought four novels, including:
- The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood
- Skulduggery Pleasant: Playing With Fire by Derek Landy
- Beyond Black by Hilary Mantel
- The Truth by Terry Pratchett
