The Mr and I popped into Raleigh on Tuesday, and I found a Tickle Me Elmo, Lego Star Wars clock and Mort by Terry Pratchett. We needed milk on the way home, and the bus stop is right outside a charity shop. So we popped in and I found five little toys in the 10p box (including Piypon and Momiji). And after buying milk we happened to walk past another charity shop, where I found an original Furby and a Pinky Cooper doll!
I found a mixed selection of charity shop items last week, including various books (Paddington, Count Duckula, Meg & Mog and Terry Pratchett) a selection of toys (Rubik’s Revenge, Garfield, Dragon Flyz, Trolls and Hatchimals), plus several LP’s of varying wonderfulness!
A trip to Chelmsford last Friday turned up a few little trinkets (as well as a whole lot of rain)! I found a medium sized Frizzys, “The Ninth Gate”, an eighties edition Terry Pratchett book (The Colour of Magic) and a Hieronymus Bosch book from the fifties!
I wasn’t going to let the sweltering heat put me off my charity shop mooching on my way home from work this week and found Zelfs, Quadrophenia, Highlander, Hogfather and Revelation. I also found a cat scratching post for the kitties!
I had a small jackpot today from my charity shop rummaging. I found a lovely condition plush Keyper for 10 pence. 10p! I also bought the purple Flufflings I had my eye on a couple of weeks back, a sweet little rag story book and two paperback novels (About A Boy by Nick Horby and Dodger by Terry Pratchett).
