My Little Pony :: Ponies ~ Year 2 [1983 - 1984]
My Little Pony were originally produced by Hasbro for twelve years from 1982 to 1994 (Generation 1, or G1), with the last two years only being sold in UK/Europe, making them very collectable to US buyers. There were literally hundreds (if not thousands!) of ponies produced, as well as ample playsets and other pony accessories.
MLP Year 2 had four new sets of ponies, plus three new sets of plush ponies. There was one new special offer pony and five new playsets

Earth Ponies
Earth Ponies saw Blossom and Cotton Candy make a return from Year 1's Original Ponies, now with concave feet.
Applejack and Bow Tie went on to return in Year 3's new set of Earth Ponies with curly hair, and were also sold in the "collectors pose" in the UK in Year 3.
Bubbles and Seashell were the only two general release ponies ever made in a seated position. They are also the only two ponies to have a diamond symbol on their noses. They were not sold in any other sets other than this one.
Each pony came with a flower shaped brush, a ribbon and a round scented puffy sticker with their picture on it.

Sea Ponies
Sea Ponies each came with a shell they could sit in that stuck onto the bath via a suction cup. Sea Ponies returned again for the second and only time in Year 3 with six new characters and new design shells. Year 3 also saw the first Baby Sea Ponies, which took over from the adult version.
An alternative set was sold in the UK, where Wavedancer's name was altered to Wavebreaker (shell colour differed too) and was joined by two new Sea Ponies.
Each pony also came with a shell shaped brush, a ribbon and a round scented puffy sticker with their picture on it.

Plush Ponies
There were three sets of Plush Ponies produced, each containing three ponies - Plush Earth Ponies, Plush Rainbow Ponies and Plush Unicorns & Pegasi. They were about 12 inches tall. There were also a few variations in pose but I'm not sure which countries they were produced for. Plush Ponies would return again in Year's 3 and 4.
