Small Playsets

There were six different vanity themed playsets produced. They were first of all released in pink packaging with one of the three original charm dolls included inside. Then, when Galoob re-issued them in the white packaging, each came with a new doll with it's own name and colouring. When Blue Box took over, they re-issued them all placing one of their six second series doll charms inside.

All six playsets were also sold by Blue Box, which were slightly different in colour from Galoob's second release sets, and came with a second series charm doll. Three sets were also made in completely different colours by Galoob with cosmetic charms rather than doll charms in 1988. See the Cosmetics page for more details.

Brush-Car Set

The first release Brush-Car set came with a non-specific original charm doll. The pink packaging shows a variation of sticker but I have as yet to confirm if the Italian version was sold like this. The second release playset came with a new charm doll called "Flashie", not to be confused with the original "Flashee" (although she did have purple hair). I've found all three gem versions of her. The playset was completely different in colour and had different stickers on it too.

The Brush-Car playset was also sold by Blue Box and came with "Star Beam" charm doll (aka Galoob's "Dazzle"). The playset had the same colouring as Galoob's second release, but with different stickers.

It's not pictured on the second release packaging I've found so far, so may not have been sold again by Galoob (yet to confirm). The colour of the playset on the packaging is different to that in the publicity image, so there may have been two colour variations in the first issue release.

Galoob 1st Release

The first release Hairdryer-Patio set came with a non-specific original release charm doll. I've found two colour variations of this first release set. One matching the publicity image and another matching the packaging image.

Galoob 2nd Release

The second release playset came with a new charm doll that I have as yet to find out the name of. I've only found one version of her, but the one on the box makes two. The playset was different in colour from the first release and had different stickers inside too. It was sold on its own, as well as with the Brush-Car.

Blue Box

The Hairdryer-Patio playset was also sold by Blue Box and came with "Crystal Bright" charm doll (aka Galoob's "Shimmer"). The main playset was made in the same colours as Glaoob's second release but had different stickers inside and yellow furniture and accessories like Galoob's first release.

Picture Frame-Swimming Pool Set

There was one version of this set released by Galoob, plus a colour variation released by Blue Box.

Galoob 1st Release

The first release Picture Frame-Swimming Pool set came with a non-specific original release charm doll. It's not pictured on the second release packaging I've found so far, so may not have been sold again by Galoob (yet to confirm).

Blue Box

Picture Frame-Swimming Pool set was also sold by Blue Box and came with "Dazzle" charm doll (aka Galoob's "Sparkle Heart"). The playset was made in slightly different colours to Galoob's version.

Purse-Play Park Set

There were two colour versions of this set released at different times by Galoob, plus a further colour variation released by Blue Box.

Blue Box also released a deluxe set, which included four of the six vanity playsets, and had an extra box tacked to the side with four charms inside (most likely a random selection).
