I took some photos in the Botanical Gardens, which is in the Royal Victoria Park, Bath. I also took a few photos of the Shakespeare monument in the Great Dell over the road and a couple of the gate statues on my way out of the park.
I’ve separated my photos into various groups as I took a lot!

The Great Dell
I also took a few photos of the Shakespeare monument in the Great Dell over the road. The dell is a sunken, wooded area created out of a former stone quarry.
The inscription on front reads:
‘The City of Bath celebrated the three hundredth anniversary of the birth of SHAKESPEARE April XXIII MDCCCLXIV Jeromah Bell Esq. Mayor.”
On the west side is the quotation:
‘Tongues speak. This was a man. Take him for all in all We shall not look on his like again.”
Entrance Way
The former road entrance midway up Park Lane has a couple of statues either side. It’s not a entrance I use very often so I wanted to take a closer look. The sun was too bright to get a photo of the lion that didn’t look like a silhouette.
