I really enjoy the process of starting with one idea and following it through to see where it will lead. I began by trying to create an image of a face sewn onto the moon which was harder to achieve than I thought. I tried many different combinations of prompts and although none are quite what I had in mind to begin with I’m happy with the results.
These are my favourite creations from the face-in-the-moon idea, before it lead onto something else.
Once the images and ideas began to take hold I altered the full moon to a crescent moon. This produced a mixture of images with a face hanging next to or behind the moon but very few faces were actually part of the moon itself. I don’t think these are quite as effective as the full moon but interesting nonetheless.
After this, I added a ragdoll character to the description and tried out several different ideas.
I began to develop the idea of a ragdoll holding a moon on a stick, then tried the ragdoll sitting on a crescent moon whilst holding a glowing glass egg. I like the results but the idea will need more work.
Finally, I changed the ragdoll to a sackdoll holding a glass crescent moon against a cracked background before calling it a day!
