Telegraph Poles

Yesterday, I took some photos of the telegraph poles outside my house after work. I love the geometric patters created by telegraph poles and cables, and their juxtaposition to their surroundings.

Sparkly Halloween Bat & Spider Badges

I love these sparkly bat and spider badges I just made for Halloween! The backgrounds are a choice of pink, purple or silver glitter paper, or gold shimmery paper with black bat and spider confetti on top. The spiders also have a layer of black netting, which looks sort of like a web.

Rayleigh Windmill, Essex

Photographs of the windmill in Rayleigh, which we looked around when I took the folks over for a visit at the weekend. It was quite an overcast day, so thought the photos looked better in black and white.

Spirograph Badges

I found some fun “Happy Birthday” spirograph wrapping paper, which has made some super badges of various sizes. I also tried some with added glitter and sparkly circles, but don’t think these work as well.

Sparkly Dark Textured Badges

I made these badges using the same paper I made for my Textured & Gilded Greeting Cards. I made larger 38mm badges with full circles, and small 25mm button badges with little circles layered over shimmery black paper and glitter.

Sparkly Floral Button Badges

I made a selection of cute little button badges for selling in packs of three from floral and glittery paper, shimmery and tinsel fabric, and also sparkly fabric layered with two different sized stars.

Fabric Floral Badges

These badges are experiments with the tiny off-cuts from my floral makeup, gadget and phone cases.

Abstract Floral Badges

This lovely abstract floral wrapping paper lends itself very nicely to a range of badge sizes, which are grouped into packs of three.

Owl & Flower Badges

As soon as I saw this lovely floral owl wrapping paper and knew it would make good badges! The owls were perfect for 45mm badges, and the flowers for 25mm button badges. I have grouped them into little packs of three for sale.

Elveden Forest, Suffolk

I took a few photographs around Elveden Forest whilst I was staying at the Center Parcs situated there a few weekends back.

Bright Floral & Net Badges

I bought this lovely bright 1960’s inspired floral wrapping paper from down the road, which I layered with black netting to make these 38mm badges. My mum was rather taken with them!

Brown Paper Floral Stamp Badges

I thought I’d try something a little different with badge making, and used brown paper with a floral stamp and a large black sequin. I also made some without the sequin and some with crumpled paper.

Mixed Floral Badges

I found some great double-sided wrapping paper a while ago which lent itself perfectly to badge making. I’ve made some large 45mm badges from the front, layered with glitter and flower confetti, then trios of little button badges using both the front and back of the paper.

Angelina Fibre Badges

Another experiment in badge making! I made these using Angelina fibre, which I ironed into a flat sheet with punched hears, star or flower confetti and glitter sprinkled in it. The pink ones have the fibres layered over the top of shimmery paper, which peeps through. The dark ones have the fibre layered over shimmery black paper or dark hologram paper, with tiny star glitter, and hearts and star confetti.

Sparkly Red, Gold, Bronze & Black Badges

I made these badges from a mixture of glittery card, netting, large black sequins, glitter, and star confetti. I also used a old Christmas card (the patterned bits). Each one is unique, and as the Christmas card was all used up I can’t make any more!

Chinese Floral Badges

I had some lovely little squares of floral Chinese paper stashed away for several years, and when I bought my badge machine I realised it would be perfect for button badges. Every badge is unique due to the size of the paper, and has glittery gold detailing. They look nice in sets of three, but could also be worn individually.

Bold Floral Badges

This lovely bright, bold floral wrapping paper was designed by Linda Barker (of Changing Rooms, remember that?). It’s just one small piece and was a bit more expensive than I would usually go for, but has made some lovely badges. Some I have made just plain, whilst others I have added a layer of black netting with various sequins and glitter underneath.
