Big Brother Ponies

Year 6 added three more Big Brother Ponies and Tex, Steamer, and Salty returned from Year 5 (unchanged). This year they were sold under the name Big Brother Ponies in the UK.

They each came with a hat which matched their symbol's theme, coloured bandanna and brush or comb.

Brush 'n Grow Ponies

Brush 'n Grow Ponies had amazing tails which could grow even longer by gently pulling it. You could then twist their head to retract the tail again. They also had extra long manes. They would return again in Year 7 with a princess theme.

They each came with a fancy new brush and comb, two wide ribbons, two small hair-clips shaped like a shooting star and three frilly hearts.

Happy Tails Ponies [+ Euro variations]

When Happy Tails Ponies were gently squeezed at their sides their tails would spin. A similar idea was used in Year 8 with the Dance 'n Prance Ponies.

They each came with a bird hair-pick with false lock of hair and a squirrel shaped ring to fit around their tails. They also came with a brush, comb or pick and ribbon.

Magic Message Ponies

Magic Message Ponies had special symbols which when rubbed would reveal a new symbol underneath (different on each side). After time the hidden symbol would show through the original one or stop working.

They each came with a brush or comb and hair ribbon.

In the UK two of the ponies were released with alternative names.

Princess Ponies

Year 6 introduced six more Princess Ponies. Their accessories differed slightly from Year 5's as they had crowns (rather than damsel hats) and came without a Bushwooly or Dragon friend. But as before they still came with a glittery star hair pick, gold-trimmed ribbon and sparkling magic wand each. This set was not sold in the UK.

Sundae Best Ponies [+ Euro variations]

Sundae Best Ponies were the first ponies to be scented like their names and had unique raised symbols.

They each came with a special hair-clip shaped like a lollipop, an ice cream cone or an ice cream sundae and hair ribbon. They also came with a lollipop shaped brush and a wrapped sweet shaped comb.

In the UK four ponies were released with alternative names. They came with the same accessories except that they all came with ice cream cone hair-clips.

Sweetberry Ponies

Sweetberry Ponies were the second set in Year 6 to be scented like their names. They each came with a brush or comb and a hair ribbon.

In the UK Boysenberry Pie was released with an alternative name, and Cranberry Muffin and Blueberry Baskets were not sold at all.

Twice As Fancy Ponies

Year 6 added six more Twice As Fancy Ponies. As in Year 5, they had symbols which covered both of their sides and their backs with a smaller version either on their forehead or under one eye. This set was not sold in the UK but did make it to other parts of Europe.

They each came with a brush, comb or hairpick and a hair ribbon.

Newborn Twins

Year 6 added six more sets of Newborn Twins, following on from Year 5's release. In the UK only 3 pairs were sold and they all had alternative names.

Each pair came with one large accessory and a few smaller ones. Each set also came with two white bottles, two nappies (in one box), two teddy brushes and two hair ribbons.

Peek-A-Boo Baby Ponies could turn their heads. The set included two boys and two First Tooth ponies. This set was not sold in the UK.

Pony Friends

Year 6 added four more Pony Friends, with Creamsicle and Kingsley returning from Year 5. They each had a symbol or design on their bodies and long brushable hair. Like the previous set, this set was not sold in the UK.

Summer Wing Ponies

Summer Wings Ponies were a new kind of pony. They were about the same size as baby ponies and had delicate butterfly wings attached in a similar way to Flutter Ponies. They each had a tiny version of their main symbol on either their forehead or under one eye. Summer Wing Ponies would return in Year 7, only under the name Windy Wings Ponies.

They each came with a metallic hair ribbon and flowers hairpick.

Watercolour Baby Sea Ponies [UK name "Colour Change Baby Sea Ponies"]

Watercolour Baby Sea Ponies were the last set of sea ponies ever made. Their body and hair changed colour in warm water and changed back in cold and their hair had a cotton-like feel to it. In the UK this set was called Colour Change Baby Sea Ponies. Misty and Seawinkle were never sold in the UK but were in Germany.

They each came with a float and comb.
